HEARING ASSESSMENT
We assess your hearing to determine if you have hearing loss, and if so, what can be done about it. This starts with a chat about your relationship with hearing. We then examine the external ear with an otoscope, and test the faintest sounds you can hear.
With the above steps complete, we'll talk through the results of the test & the best solution.
HEARING AIDS
We work with every manufacturer to ensure you receive the right hearing aid for your needs at a competitive price. The main factor that will affect what you choose to pay is the level of technology contained in the device. Once decided, we place & receive the order from the manufacturer, then re-visit or remotely calibrate the hearing aids to your requirements.
WAX REMOVAL
Referred to as micro suction, this is a swift, painless procedure whereby we set up a microscope through which to work, then use a thin steel fitting on the end of a suction device to suck wax out of your ear. It is quick (less than a few minutes) and clean (no irrigation required).
How Covid-19 changes how we look after you
We are following guidelines from the government & the UK's audiology professional bodies. Audiology is classed as an essential healthcare service & domiciliary (home) visits are still available where necessary. We will minimise face-to-face contact using remote servicing technology; where not possible we will ask screening questions relating to Coronavirus before all visits, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), optimise distance & maintain robust hygiene standards.
Please note that due to increased postage time & precautions that change manufacturing processes, we are seeing a longer than usual turnaround on deliveries, repairs & returns. We closely track all devices in our care on our clients' behalf & promise an open, honest line of communication.
